ShareRing is a digital identity ecosystem for users to create and utilize their digital ID in the physical world. The objective of ShareRing is to protect users’ privacy in an increasingly interconnected and fluid digital world.
The platform provides all tools, including the ShareRing ID for issuing, verifying, and managing the distribution of personal information and data, ShareRing Vault, and the ShareRing mobile app. All these are necessary for users to interact and conduct business online without worrying about the safety of personal data.
Through the platform, users can readily create their blockchain-native ID, a digital twin representation of their physical self, using ShareRing ID. The tool enables users to manage personal documents and other identifying information. Documents can be stored in the ShareRing Vault. This is an encrypted storage solution that hashes all data onto ShareLedger, a distributed and secure blockchain, and not on a centralized vulnerable cloud.
Notably, hashing introduces another layer of privacy to the document, guaranteeing that it remains tamper-free. In this setup, ShareRing Vault ensures instant and real-time provenance. Moreover, there is a significant reduction in identity fraud, therefore, protecting the user’s digital footprint and reputation.
The introduction of NFTs gives users added flexibility and compatibility. By default, ShareRing supports a wide range of documents and assets which can be readily converted into NFTs stored in Polygon with on-chain provenance and tamper-proof resistance. Users can mint NFTs from documents and supported files, including JPEGs, MP3, and MP4, from NFT Space on Polygon. Minted NFTs can then be used as a ShareRing avatar. Users who wish to mint NFTs on ShareRing can do so via the updated version of the ShareRing mobile app.
